    CONVERSATION AND NETWORKING

Arthur D. Little’s health care industry experts look forward to talking with you about the trends and innovations that are having a profound impact on healthcare industry investments, including:

    • Increasing growth funding, even during a downturn in the market
    • Accelerating clinical trials and trial assurance
    • Expanding health equity through artificial intelligence (AI)

Funding growth initiatives in complex environments

Economic headwinds will make it more difficult for companies to sustain growth. Start-ups are facing more challenges in securing funding, while established companies are experiencing cost-cutting pressures. Funding new growth initiatives is expected to become more difficult due to the higher cost of capital and the pressure to pay down corporate debt.

Despite the challenging economic outlook, ADL’s 2022 Global CEO Survey reveals that most executives plan to maintain or increase growth funding in 2023, and they expect a broader set of strategies for achieving growth. Join us to discuss growth trends that will shift the industry and differentiate the growth leaders from the laggards.

    Accelerating and assuring clinical trials

Successful and on-time clinical trials are critical to patients and trial sponsors alike, yet delays are too common and often extremely costly. While this is an age-old issue, we believe that a fresh look is now needed to identify innovative approaches and data-driven interventions that highlight the next best actions in addressing clinical trial challenges, including the identification of patients. Join us to learn about our work in accelerating clinical trials, even in complex disease areas.

    Expanding health equity through AI

Health equity is now a major focus for life sciences stakeholders due to increasing Health Authority guidance, introduction of clinical trial regulations, and other pressures. Health equity is a complex issue; while race and ethnicity are key focus areas, several other dimensions of diversity also need to be considered, including age, biological sex, pregnancy status, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, underlying medical problems, etc.

ADL believes that AI/ML-based techniques can be leveraged to assess key barriers to health equity, providing data-driven actionable insights rather than relying solely on human guesses. Join us to discuss this view.
